Medical Equipment Rental Delivery Across Calgary and Area

We deliver, set up and collect rental equipment in every Calgary quadrant, the cities and towns around it, three towns with their own hospital, and the acreage districts west and north-west of the city.

Choose your area below for local detail: the hospitals nearby, the kinds of homes, and what people there most often rent. This page covers what is the same everywhere, and what changes when the address is a condo tower or a gravel lane.

How delivery works across the region

Every rental is delivered, set up in the room where it will be used, and demonstrated before we leave. Beds are assembled and tested, lifts are charged and checked, lift chairs are plugged in and run through their positions, and ramps are installed at the doorway they serve. When the rental ends, we come back and take it away.

The process is the same in Chestermere as in the Beltline. What differs is timing: an address in Bragg Creek or Strathmore takes longer to reach than one in the inner city, so we schedule around the drive. Same-day delivery is often possible when the equipment is in stock and you call early. When you book, give us the full address and community and we will tell you the delivery window we can offer for that location.

Acreage and rural deliveries

Springbank, Bearspaw and Bragg Creek homes often sit at the end of long driveways, some gravel, some steep, and not all of them are plowed early in a storm. A hospital bed ships as heavy sections, and a modular ramp arrives as ramp lengths and platforms, so we need to get the truck reasonably close to the door.

Tell us about the lane when you book: its length, whether it is paved, any tight turns or gates, and whether it is cleared in winter. If a storm hits on delivery day, we call to agree on a new time rather than risk the road. We confirm the timing, and whether any charge applies to your address, before the booking is made, so nothing is added afterwards.

Condo and seniors’ residence deliveries

Downtown towers and seniors’ residences usually need the service elevator booked for a delivery, and many set move-in hours or require a loading-dock slot. Book the elevator with building management once we have agreed on a delivery window, and tell us the building’s rules: dock location, parking for a delivery truck, and whether the concierge needs our names.

Measure the tightest point on the route, which is often the suite door or the turn into a bedroom rather than the elevator itself. In a residence where staff help with care, ask whether they have rules about equipment in suites, such as where a lift can be stored or whether a pressure mattress pump needs a particular outlet, before delivery day.

The hospitals people come home from

Many rentals start with a discharge. These are the hospitals in and around our delivery area, and we deliver to homes in any of our areas whichever one it is. We work to the discharge date the care team sets and have no affiliation with these hospitals or with Alberta Health Services.

  • Foothills Medical Centre, 1403 29 St NW, in NW Calgary.
  • Peter Lougheed Centre, 3500 26 Ave NE, in NE Calgary.
  • Rockyview General Hospital, 7007 14 St SW, in SW Calgary.
  • South Health Campus, 4448 Front St SE, in SE Calgary.
  • High River General Hospital, in High River.
  • Strathmore District Health Services, in Strathmore.
  • Oilfields General Hospital, in Black Diamond, part of Diamond Valley.

Questions people ask us

My parent lives in Okotoks but is in hospital in Calgary. Which area do I book under?
Book under the address the equipment is going to, in this case Okotoks. The hospital only tells us the discharge date and time; the home address sets the route and delivery window.
Do you deliver outside the areas listed?
Phone us with the address. The listed areas are where we deliver regularly; for a location nearby, we tell you honestly whether we can reach it and on what timing.
Is there an extra charge for acreage or out-of-town delivery?
It depends on the address. We tell you before you book whether any charge applies, so there are no surprises when the equipment arrives.
Can you deliver to a condo with no service elevator?
Often, yes, but tell us the floor and the stair layout when you book. Some equipment, such as a bariatric bed, may not be practical up several flights, and we will say so before delivery day.
Who needs to be home when you deliver?
An adult who can let us in, show us where the equipment goes and learn how it works. For a discharge, that is usually a family member while the patient is still in hospital.
