Delivery & Care

Medical Equipment Delivery, Setup and Care in Calgary

Renting a hospital bed or patient lift is only half the job. The other half is getting it into the house, putting it together properly, and making sure the people using it are confident with it. That part is what this section of the site is about.

Whether a patient is coming home from hospital tomorrow, recovering from surgery next month, or being cared for at home near the end of life, the same service comes with the equipment: delivery, setup, a walkthrough, support while you have it, and removal when you’re done.

What’s included with every rental

We don’t sell setup as an upgrade. Whether you rent a threshold ramp for a patio door or a bariatric bed with an alternating pressure mattress, the rental comes with a visit from people who carry it in and set it up, and a return visit to take it away. We confirm any delivery or pickup charge for your address when you book.

  • Equipment cleaned, disinfected and checked through our 10-step process before it leaves
  • Carry-in to the room you choose, including stairs
  • Assembly and a full function test in your home
  • A walkthrough of the controls, brakes, alarms and backup power for the patient and caregivers
  • Phone support for questions and problems while you have the equipment
  • Swaps when needs change, and pickup when you’re finished
  • Itemized receipts you can submit to a benefits plan

Where we deliver

We deliver to every quadrant of Calgary, from downtown and Beltline towers to the suburbs at the city’s edges. Outside the city, we cover Airdrie, Okotoks, Cochrane and Chestermere, the hospital towns of High River, Strathmore and Diamond Valley, and the acreage districts of Springbank, Bearspaw and Bragg Creek.

Distance changes planning, not whether we come. A same-day bed to an acreage outside Bragg Creek needs more of the day than one to a bungalow in the northeast, so the further out you are, the more it helps to call early. Acreages also bring their own questions, like long gravel driveways in spring and steps with no railing, which we cover when we book.

How delivery timing works

When you book, we give you a delivery window and confirm it with the person who will be at the house. For hospital discharges, we work back from the discharge date so the equipment is in place before the patient arrives. For planned surgery, you can book ahead so a lift chair or bed is waiting when you get home from the day surgery unit.

Same-day delivery is often possible when the equipment is in stock and you call early in the day. We never promise it before we have checked, and if today isn’t possible, we say so on the first call and give you the earliest real option.

Urgent and after-hours requests

Health care doesn’t keep office hours, and discharges get moved up late in the day. If you need equipment urgently, phone rather than booking online, so a person can check stock and the schedule while you are on the line. If you reach us after hours, leave the hospital, the discharge date, what is needed and a callback number, and we will get back to you as early as we can.

We are honest about what we can do outside normal hours. We are not a round-the-clock emergency service, and we won’t tell you a bed is coming tonight unless it really is. If a patient cannot safely go home without equipment we can’t deliver in time, the care team needs to know that, and we will tell you plainly so you can raise it with them.

Questions people ask us

Is setup included, or is it an extra service?
It is part of every rental. We carry the equipment in, assemble it, test it and show you how it works. We confirm any delivery or pickup charge for your address when you book.
Do you deliver outside Calgary?
Yes: Airdrie, Okotoks, Cochrane, Chestermere, High River, Strathmore, Diamond Valley, Springbank, Bearspaw and Bragg Creek. Call early for same-day requests outside the city.
Are you open around the clock?
No. For urgent needs, phone as early as possible. If you call after hours, leave the details and a number, and we will call back as early as we can.
Can a clinician arrange delivery for a patient?
Yes. OTs, PTs, home care case managers and discharge planners can send a request through our clinician forms. We confirm details with the referrer and arrange the time with the family.
What if the equipment isn’t right once it is in the home?
Phone us. We can adjust the setup, move it to another spot, or swap it for something that suits the person and the room better.
